Anna
Bakken
Lead
Trainer
Anna
is currently attending school with the goal of becoming a physicians assistant.
She is from Decorah, Iowa, where she grew up in a large family full of kids and
pets. After attending college at the University of Iowa, Anna lived in
Newcastle, Australia; Boulder, Colorado; Homer, Alaska; and Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. While in Alaska she cared for a sled dog pack of 48 dogs, but
moving frequently did not allow her to have any companion pets.
After moving to Madison in 2003 she adopted Penny, an 8 year old Chartreux cat,
from the Dane County Humane Society. Following moving into a larger home in 2007
she also adopted Crouton, a terrier mix dog from Fluffy Dog Rescue in Hartland,
WI. Anna met Sarah Short of Teacher’s Pet Training while attending Doggy Class
with Crouton, and Sarah mentioned Anna may like being an Assistant Trainer for
Teacher’s Pet. This made sense to Anna as she has always been an avid animal
lover.
Anna enjoys finding ways to help people and animals understand each other. Her
motto is “A Tired Dog is a Good Dog.”
